Academy Wool Blanket - Cadet Gray

I've never slept with a wool blanket until I got to basic military training (Yup, that's what the Air Force calls boot camp). We slept with 2 blankets - One on the bed and another to cover the top third of our racks, over the pillow. I'm a cold natured person, but sleeping cold was my last worry through BMT. That was nearly 10 years ago and here recently I had the passing thought that I needed one of these blankets to use as a couch blanket. There are many options, but Faribault stood out as an American made company with a long and continued relationship with the U.S. military. I went with the West Point blanket because it was listed as heavier than some of the others at 4.5 lbs. The Grey, Black, and Yellow pattern is also caught my attention. When it arrived, I immediately noticed the yellow stitched border around the edges. It doesn't show up as well in the pictures as it pops out at you in person. It's awesome! It's also incredibly warm and comfortable. This blanket will be my first of many Faribault purchases, especially if they come up with a blue and gold Air Force Academy concept. ;)
