Military-Grade Blanket

Overall, this is an awesome blanket. Sure, it doesn't have any fancy patterns or fancy trim, but it is well worth the money for its size and weight compared to some of the other blankets. "Military grade" to me usually means it is made as cheap as possible. The only thing I can tell that is "military grade" about it is the color and trim. Other than that, this thing is made better than any wool blanket I used while I was in, and well worth the money.

I bought this blanket to replace a blanket that I’ve had for decades. I’ve had wool blankets before, Boot Camp, the Barracks, even had them in my tent in Iraq. This blanket from Faribault Mill is made better, softer, (smells better, lol) than the ones I encountered in service. I am thoroughly satisfied and would buy one again if the need arose. I would highly recommend for camping, emergencies, or even to use on the couch in the living room. There are numerous colors, styles, and sizes. Pick one up, you’ll love it.

this is a really nice heavy and beautifully woven wool blanket. the wool itself is perfect, but, unfortunately, there are so many pieces of sawdust and prickles woven into it that the whole thing is uncomfortable. i’ve washed the blanket and have been slowly picking bits of plant material out for months, but there are tons of splinters hidden in the blanket still. i’m grateful i found a coupon online so it was not $200 for a scratchy blanket. i wish more attention was paid to cleaning the wool during processing.

So genuine, I half expect a DI to inspect my rack.

Works great for camping.
